All Paid Spectators Are Automatically Entered Into A Drawing To Compete For a $10,000.00 Cash Prize by Making a Layup, Free Throw, 3-Pointer, and Half Court Shot Within 30 Seconds.
2-Ball Competition - You and a partner have one minute to make as many baskets as possible from designated spots on the floor. Each spot is assigned a point value based on how difficult the shot is. Using only one basketball, you and your partner must alternate shots during the one minute contest. A 10-point bonus is given if, as a group, you make a shot from every designated spot (including a layup from each side). A team may NOT attempt more than two layups in a row (i.e., a team can attempt one layup from each side and then must attempt a different shot before returning to attempt a layup from either side again).
Anyone may sign up for this contest, but you must have a partner in order to sign up (we do NOT assign partners). Partners must provide their own basketball for the contest.
All players MUST be registered in advance (and prior to the deadline) to participate in contests. The contests fill up every year, so we will NOT take walk-in registrations. Registration links are below.
Players may arrive and compete in the contests at ANY time while contests are open (i.e., you do not necessarily have to arrive at the beginning), but we recommend allowing 15 minutes (when factoring in wait time) for EACH contest you wish to participate in.
A tentative schedule of events is below.
Three Point Competition - Each shooter has 45 seconds to shoot 3 racks of basketballs (15 shots total). Racks are placed on each wing and at the top of the key. The final ball on each rack is the money ball, which is worth additional points. Anyone may sign up for this contest. Basketballs are provided for this contest.
Free Throw Contest - Each shooter has one minute to make as many free throws as possible. If, at the one minute mark, the shooter is on a "streak," he/she will be allowed to continue that streak until a free throw is missed. Shooters ARE allowed (and encouraged) to have a rebounder. Shooters may NOT cross the free throw line until the ball hits the rim. Anyone may sign up for this contest. Players must provide their own basketball for the contest.
All Star games will be played after the Individual Competitions have ended. Players will be grouped together in advance and will compete against other top talent in their age brackets. Games are 18 minute running halves with the clock stopping in the final minute of each half. Players must be nominated by their coach to play in the All-Star game. Coaches may nominate up to three players per team using the links below. All-stars will be provided a team jersey (that they get to keep) during the check-in process.
COACHES: PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK SHIRT SIZES WITH NOMINEES PRIOR TO SUBMITTING NOMINATION FORM. NOMINEES RECEIVE WHATEVER SHIRT SIZE IS ENTERED; THERE ARE NO EXCHANGES ALLOWED.
**ALL PLAYERS THAT ARE NOMINATED (PRIOR TO DEADLINE/ROSTERS FILLING) WILL BE PLACED ON A TEAM**
NO CONTESTS IN 2020 DUE TO COVID-19
